Description

painting on medieval battles with knights and soldiers on horsebacks and armor

Title “TERRA ANTICA”

This work is about ancient Sicily and the various fights that took place on this beautiful island. Sicilian puppets, made with the heart of puppeteers, the absolute protagonist is Charlemagne and his paladins. The battles of these characters are represented by Siviglia with his unique and distinctive painting style on canvas. After the artist has read a few novels on the exploits of these characters and made a few trips to Sicily, he gives full scope to his imagination, recalling unconsciously the contents of the novels and poems of the Carolingian cycle, of the history of the Paladins of France and of the furious Orlando.
