Modern hand-painted painting with gold color on canvas, representing the legend of Cupid and Psyche, painted with red and garnet background. In Greek mythology the story of Cupid and Psyche is one of the most romantic, where Cupid was sent by his mother Venus, jealous and envious of Psyche’s beauty, to make her fall in love with an ugly monster. When Cupid saw Psyche he was so enchanted by her beauty that he made a mistake and struck himself with his arrow. From that moment on there was nothing more to do, he fell madly in love with Psyche and took her away with him, hiding her and their love for fear of Venus. They had to overcome many trials and obstacles, but through the power of love and resistance, their feelings for each other grew and strengthened. In the end their perseverance was rewarded with a happy ending.

A beautiful story that teaches us how the wickedness, envy and hatred of other people can serve us for our good, if only we resist and do not let ourselves be discouraged.
