TITLE: “Cristo Carcerato”

This Cubist Siviglian-style portrait of Jesus Christ though as simple as it is very engaging and moving. The hair and dress of the King of the Jews are deep red underlining his real being and at the same time representing his blood that will be shed. This intense purple forms a strong contrast with the light blue of the background created with spray colors that makes it look very even compared to the materialistic brushstrokes the artist used to paint Christ’s dress. His hands are tied and on his head instead of the halo he has a wreath with olive leaves.

An ideal sacred painting to give as present for baptism, first communion, confirmation or for the ordination of a priest. Also perfect for decorating the bedroom or the office of a lawyer or a Christian doctor.
