Description

La Pietà dell'Uomo is a portrait showing an Orthodox Jew holding the dying body of Christ in his arms. The painting is made with black and white acrylic colors on cardboard. Whereas Jesus wears the Palestine flag around his waist. A very sensible artwork that transmits mercy and forgiveness and hopefully reconciliation between the different religions. — “La Pietà dell’Uomo” 35,43×24,80 inches (90x63cm) acrylic on cardboard, Siviglia 2023

TITLE: “LA PIETA’ DELL’UOMO”

Modern artwork on canvas, , artist Alessandro Siviglia

Modern painting representing Christ lying dead on the knees of a Jewish man. Christ wears a cloth to cover his private parts colored like the flag of Palestine. A painting that arises many doubts and questioning thoughts about it’s meaning. A very sensitive topic, the three main religions in this world that need to understand and recognise their common roots to find a way for reconciliation. Painted on a pressed cardboard plate with black and white acrylic colors.
