Cheek to Cheek is a song by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong is an ode to the pure joy and bliss you feel when dancing with someone you love. Siviglia painted this work of art conveying the joy and happiness he feels when painting, the artist’s life revolves around painting and art in general. He once said, “Without my canvases and my brushes I am nobody, they complete me and give me the daily energy to live, only by painting do I feel one hundred percent alive.” This painting portrays many characters who throughout their lives face joys and sorrows, victories and defeats, ups and downs of life. The king at the center of the work seems to be observing everyone else and not believing his eyes when he receives insults and disappointments from those who he didn’t expect, but also happy and satisfied with those who face life in their own way, always getting up again. This painting full of twists, swear words and color will amaze the viewer in a unique and original way. This work is dedicated to those who want a modern painting that tells true life stories and who don’t mince words. You discover the rest, otherwise what’s the point?
