CONFIDENZE

Description

TITLE: “CONFIDENZE”

Modern artwork on canvas, 19,5×14,69 inches (47x38cm) acrylic on canvas, 2024

“Confidenze” in English “Confidences” is a painting born from a love story, those that end badly, the beautiful ones that stay in your heart and never leave. In this portrait, there is a man with a top hat and a black elegant suit that blends into the night. The man, after a long time, decides to forget his love, but at night, when he is alone, he turns to his friend the moon and confides in her. Hence the title of the work “Confidences”. A painting in black and white with shades of gray, white, and silver.
The painting “Confidences” seems to be a visual representation of a deep and personal emotion. The description suggests that the work was inspired by an intense love story, perhaps one that has left an indelible mark. The image of a man in elegant attire, merging with the night, speaks of an intimacy and reflection that take place in silence and solitude. His dialogue with the moon, a classic symbol of confidence and shared secrets, adds another layer of meaning to the title of the work.
The choice to use black and white with shades of grey, white, and silver could reflect the complexity of the emotions involved, as well as the elusive and changing nature of memories and feelings. This color choice might also suggest a sense of endless time, as if the scene depicted were suspended in an eternal moment.
