Large canvas in black and white “Certi Momenti”

Description

TITLE: “Certi Momenti”

Large modern artwork, 37.8 x 78.74 inches (97 x 200 cm) mixed technique acrylic and spray on canvas, Siviglia 2025

“Certi Momenti” is an intense and evocative work by Siviglia, a contemporary Italian artist, whose monochromatic style immediately brings to mind Picasso’s famous Guernica. The skillful use of black, white, and shades of gray lends the painting a suspended, almost dreamlike atmosphere, yet the narrative is radically different from the war drama of Picasso’s work.

In Certi Momenti, the scene is not one of war, but rather of love, or perhaps a fairy tale. The painting seems to evoke universal archetypes such as Sleeping Beauty or Snow White: a female figure lies in a deep slumber, while a prince rushes to awaken her with a kiss. Around them unfolds a rich and layered symbolic universe, populated by animals, objects, and enigmatic characters that stimulate the imagination and invite multiple interpretations.

The large canvas amplifies the work’s visual impact, making it perfect for spacious, bright spaces. Its balance between emotional intensity and chromatic sobriety makes it ideal for minimalist interiors, such as modern living rooms, waiting rooms in medical or psychological offices, or exhibition spaces where art can dialogue with the observer.
