A large, dense figurative painting filled with characters, animals, angels, demons, symbols, and small details that reward careful looking. At the center stands an apple tree, the work’s visual and narrative anchor.
Warm shades of orange and yellow give the scene an almost summer glow. Beneath the tree, cool blues open a small oasis of freshness. This color contrast highlights a tension between light and shadow, instinct and reality.
Key Scenes
- Left side: a king smokes and throws two dice, suggesting power and chance.
- Money and desire: a man walks over scattered bills toward a woman with a designer bag who gathers them, evoking ambition and exchange.
