Description
TITLE: “Lo Studio Dentistico”
Square painting with dentist portrait, 39.37 x 39.37 inches (100×100 cm), mixed media acrylic on canvas, A. Siviglia 2025
A large painting that depicts a dental procedure with clarity and humanity. The dentist-surgeon is fully focused on the operation, supported by a calm, skilled team of assistants who coordinate instruments and movements. In the foreground, a neatly lit instrument table displays the tools in use while an assistant reaches to hand the doctor the required implement, freezing that precise, rehearsed moment of professional choreography.
The palette is deliberately restrained—shades of blue, white and gray dominate—underscoring the clinical atmosphere and the concentration of the scene. Small, playful accents, such as decorated caps on some staff members, add warmth and gentle humor without undermining the work’s seriousness.
The painting balances professionalism with reassurance: it documents medical rigor while softening the usual anxiety of a dental visit. As a result, it functions perfectly in a dental office, furnishing the space with style, calming patients, and inviting a smile before treatment.
