Description
TITLE: “Il Nero Scalzo”
Modern artwork on canvas, 39.4 × 59.1 inches (100 × 150 cm), mixed technique acrylic and spray paint, Siviglia 2026
A large-scale painting, Il Nero Scalzo, characterized by vivid and luminous colors. An abstract work populated by numerous figures—also abstract—created spontaneously and instinctively on the canvas, a gesture that embodies the distinctive style of the artist Siviglia.
This painting can evoke deep and contrasting themes such as immigration, war, but also carnival. And this is precisely the paradox of the work: the viewer feels confused and unsettled, because just when they believe they have understood it, they find themselves back at the starting point. The piece is both elaborate and simple, speaking to us in a language that becomes comprehensible only when we listen to it from the depths of our inner self.
The meaning of the painting lies in being observed, not merely seen; it invites us to devote a fragment of our life to truly looking at it, allowing ourselves to be crossed by its shapes and colors.
A large-format artwork, ideal to place behind the headboard of a bed or in a living room where it can be admired by everyone. A modern, large, and original painting, entirely handmade by Alessandro Siviglia, an artist known and appreciated internationally.
