TITLE: “Our Time Will Come”

Modern painting, cubist-style couple portrait, 29,52 x 25,98 inches (75×66 cm), mixed media on wood with vintage frame, A. Siviglia 2026

A contemporary cubist-style couple portrait, built with bright colors, broken lines, and shapes that interlock like emotional fragments. It’s a modern, semi‑abstract painting where vibrant tones and bold contrasts immediately draw the viewer in, revealing the story of a complicated love marked by expectations, distance, and desires not yet fulfilled.

This emotional tension is captured above all by the tear falling from the woman’s eye—a subtle but powerful detail—and by the title “Our time will come.” The title suggests a present in which the couple cannot fully be themselves or cannot yet live the life they long for. Still, within those words lies a promise: the belief, or perhaps the hope, that the future may open what feels closed today.

Although the painting speaks a contemporary visual language, it is framed in a vintage, time‑worn gold frame, the kind once used for classical portraits or landscapes. Its visible signs of age are intentionally preserved, becoming part of the artwork itself. The artist uses this contrast to create a dialogue between past and present, reminding us that everything evolves and that what seems static today may transform tomorrow.

This medium‑sized piece is ideal for smaller spaces such as a home entrance or a studio—places where the past, held in books, objects, and memories, naturally meets the ideas and possibilities of the future, just like the story told in this portrait.
