Description
TITLE: “Canale di Venezia”
Modern landscape painting of Venice, 118×59 cm, mixed media on canvas, A. Siviglia 2025
This painting, conceived as a continuation of “Venice and its Gondolas”, portrays a stylized vision of the lagoon city. The building facades, with their open windows, serve as theatrical backdrops from which lively characters emerge, while a gondolier gracefully guides a group of young people through the canals. The composition radiates serenity and joy, capturing the carefree spirit of Venetian holidays.
Its vertical, slender format lends the work remarkable versatility: perfectly suited to spaces that are often challenging to decorate, such as columns, niches, or narrow walls between windows. In these settings, the painting not only enriches the environment but also becomes a refined architectural accent, adding rhythm, color, and character to the space.
