Mani Libere

Description

TITLE: “Mani Libere”

This figurative painting in a modern almost surreal style was made with luminous and phosphorescent acrylic colors, painted by the artist Alessandro Siviglia in collaboration with his four year old son who put his colored handprints on the canvas. In fact, the painting was literally created by hand, as the title suggests. Beyond the handprints you can see some writings, such as “mani libere” meaning “free hands” – this is the concept and the best starting point for an artist: to have your hands free, not to be influenced by rules and patterns, to be completely free in the process of creation.

A painting with immense emotional value for the artist who also portrayed himself in this work whereas the little paper boat bears the name of his son.

This colour- and meaningful artwork is a perfect reminder for every creative mind to constantly think out of the box and search for new, sometimes unconventional ways, for artists, for scientists, for lawyers, for medical doctors, for teachers, for parents, for anybody who is open and looking to reach new horizons.
