Description

TITLE: “Ebbe”
Black and white photograph 27,55×19,68 inches (70x50cm), digital on paper, Annett Siviglia-Mann 2010
“Ebbe”, a term of German origin, finds its translation into English as “low tide”. This photograph, taken in September 2010 on the Costa Rei in Sardinia, captures a unique moment. Although the changing tides are not so pronounced in the Mediterranean, it seems that here there is an exception to the rule. The image conveys a feeling of relaxation: you can almost feel the sand and water between your toes as you watch the work and imagine to walk along the coast, as if you were immersed in a natural work of art.
Sardinia, with its breathtaking beaches and crystal clear sea, is a place that enchants the senses and invites contemplation. This photograph is an invitation to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and let yourself be carried away by the waves and the shallow waters along the coast.
The image was created with 50x70cm glossy photographic paper surrounded by a white passe-partout and framed by a handcrafted black frame.
