Il Caffè

Description

TITLE: “The Coffee”

Small modern painting, contemporary still life, 18.5×14.17 inches (47×36 cm), acrylic and spray on canvas, A. Siviglia 2025

Still Life with a White Moka on Turquoise

A small painting that celebrates a beloved icon: the classic Bialetti moka, depicted in pure white against a vivid turquoise background. The composition is clean and elegant, highlighting the moka’s unmistakable silhouette—the handle, spout, and octagonal body stand out as if carved from light.

The limited palette creates a bright contrast: the white moka glows against the turquoise, giving the work a fresh, contemporary feel. Deliberate brushstrokes and subtle highlights suggest the metal’s sheen and the warmth of a just-brewed coffee without showing them explicitly.

Made for spaces tied to the coffee ritual, this painting brings character to cafés and bars, adds charm to a home kitchen, and enhances a breakfast nook. Its small size makes it easy to place while its image remains strong and recognizable.

Ideal as a Christmas gift for coffee lovers or Italy enthusiasts, the moka here is more than a tool—it’s a symbol of style and conviviality. Placing this piece in a room invites a moment of everyday beauty and a modern nod to Italian tradition.
