The Sicilian Cart, also known as “carrettu” in Sicilian dialect, is an icon of Sicilian culture and tradition. Originally from the 19th century, this horse-drawn vehicle was used to transport goods throughout the island. Over time, the cart has become much more than just a vehicle: it has become a mobile work of art, rich in color and intricate detail.
