Description

Il Conflitto modern painting with Sicilian puppets — “Il Conflitto”, 27×27″ (70x70cm), Siviglia 2023 modern painting with Sicilian puppets

TITLE: “Il Conflitto”

“The Conflict”, in English “The Conflict” is a modern-style painting depicting a medieval battle with two armored knights clashing and fighting, one with swords and the other with a spear. The artist Alessandro Siviglia was always inspired by the stories of the Paladins of France, a collection of Italian chivalric tales from the Carolingian cycle, which deals with the life of Charlemagne and his knights.

A dynamic picture that combines the ancient and the modern, made with bright and intense acrylic colors on a light blue background created with sprays that makes it uniform, almost fluid. This painting is particularly suitable for decorating a period house, a liberty style library or a living room furnished with antique furniture. Even applying an ornamental frame will give a particular touch to this work.
