Title “IL FIGLIO CHE VA AL PADRE”
Contemporary art work, mixed technique on canvas, 104,5×41,5 cm, INCH: 41,1×16,3″, Siviglia 2020
A long and narrow canvas that shows the end and the beginning. At the bottom of the picture we see a person lying on the cross, but the cross looks rather like a bed. He is an ordinary person, dead, but who has entrusted himself to the cross and to what it represents. The friend next to him has a bird in his hand – a symbol of the spirit that will fly to heaven. Accompanied by several angels, he will go to where Jesus is waiting for him. This painting, to be read from down upwards, transmits hope and serenity. Calling this work “The Son who goes to the Father” shows that anyone who entrusts himself to Jesus can call God his Father. And eventually the Eye – God – is there!
