TITLE: “La Coppia Abbracciata”
Romantic painting in modern style, couple portrait, acrylic and spray on canvas, Alessandro Siviglia 2026
A refined reinterpretation of a famous painting by Marc Chagall, reimagined through the distinctive visual language of Siviglia. The scene captures two lovers embracing and kissing before a window, through which a midnight‑blue sky and a delicate crescent moon can be glimpsed, softly reflected in the surrounding space. She, with her eyes closed, surrenders completely to the moment; he gazes at her with tenderness, caressing her in a gesture that is both intimate and deeply affectionate.
In front of the couple, two splendid vases filled with red flowers bring vibrancy and passion to the composition. The entire scene radiates sensuality, sweetness, and that sense of profound, secret love that finds shelter in the quiet of the night.
While inspired by the great French master, this work comes to life in a contemporary interpretation, enriched with brighter colors, more defined shapes, and a luminous clarity that heightens the emotional intensity of the moment. It is a respectful yet bold homage, carrying Chagall’s poetic spirit into the modern world through Siviglia’s unique sensibility.
Perfect for a bedroom or living room, it also makes a meaningful gift for a wedding, an engagement, or to celebrate the beginning of a shared home. A painting that speaks of love, intimacy, and the beauty of union.
