“L’Abusata” in English “The Abused” is a female nude, portrait of a woman in a contemporary cubist style hand painted with acrylic colors and oil on canvas by the Italian artist Alessandro Siviglia. The woman, beautiful with long blond hair, wears only a red pearl necklace and a flower in her hair. She seems like a normal, calm and serene girl but the title of the work suggests another reality. They might pretend nothing has happened, smile and try to live a “normal” life like everyone else. But the body language speaks for itself, the woman with her arms crossed in front of her has closed in on herself, she no longer trusts, she is no longer able to open up emotionally due to the abuse she has suffered.
