TITLE: “Lanciato tra le Fiamme”

Modern artwork on canvas, 13,7×19,6 inches (35x50cm), artist Alessandro Siviglia

“Lanciato tra le Fiamme” in English “Launched into the Flames” is a modern painting in a small format with a medieval figurative scene. We see St. George in armor and on horseback fighting the Evil. Saint George was formerly venerated by the catholic Christians as a martyr already in the 4th century, whereas the legend of him defeating a dragon and liberating a virgin from being sacrificed was added later on in the 11th century, to his story. This original painting by Alessandro Siviglia made with acrylic colors and oil on canvas, is a modern figurative painting in a contemporary cubist style. The small size of the work allows it to be inserted even in smaller spaces. Ideal for a small study, to decorate the wall behind the desk or near a bookcase.
