“La Fallas” is a portrait of a Spanish woman with blond hair and a bullfighter’s hat on her head. In one hand she carries a sword, in the other hand a flower, next to her the half moon, a recurring subject of Siviglia’s paintings. “Las Fallas” is the name of a large popular festival in Valencia Spain where the artist lived for several years in the past.

The portrait was made on a recycled wooden board. Contemporary artist Alessandro Siviglia loves to use discarded old objects and transform them into works of art, thus giving them a new purpose and a new life. Although the work is on wood it does not weigh much and can simply be hung on the wall. Ideal for decorating an office or study, but also the living room or bedroom at home.
