The Gaze of Medusa

Description

TITLE: “Lo sguardo della Medusa “

The Medusa by Siviglia is a tribute to Caravaggio. After admiring the work of the great master, the artist decided to reinterpret it in his own way, choosing a red background that recalls the blood shed and the passion of this mythological creature. A passion for life that, paradoxically, condemned her to a tragic destiny due to the whims of the gods.

The painting depicts Medusa’s head, surrounded by serpents, with her gaze fixed directly on the viewer: a penetrating and magnetic look that the artist has managed to impress with great intensity.

This is a modern painting, perfect for decorating a bedroom with touches of red and gold, or for enhancing a corner of the living room. It is recommended for art collectors who love Greek culture and its mythological figures. A unique and original piece, hand-painted on canvas and mounted on a deep frame, ready to hang in an office or to be gifted to a doctor, professional, or friend.

An extraordinary work that immediately captures the attention of anyone who observes it.

The artist Alessandro Siviglia, Italian painter, also creates commissioned works inspired by Greek mythology. In his gallery, alongside Medusa, one can admire paintings dedicated to Perseus, Zeus, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, and other gods. His most recent painting is the Minotaur, also available in the artist’s online gallery.
