Description
TITLE: “Lo Stupore del Re”
A large canvas painted with bright acrylic colors forming strong contrasts between the main three red, blue and yellow. We have a typical Siviglian scenario, many different characters, animals, objects and symbols. There is the protagonist the king, wearing a war armour with sword and shield but instead of the helmet he wears the crown and observes the scene: two chicken chatting, a businessman with a bag full of money heading towards a soldier sleeping on the ground. There are several angels, there is a unicorn with wings just like Pegasus, there are other animals as well like a dog or a fish. There are pretty girls, meaningful objects such as a dice, a cup of coffee, a candle, etc. or symbols such as the dollar signs, hearts, an eye, musical notes … A painting that gives lot of room for interpretation and invites the observer to last and take a closer look.
A huge artwork that needs space and people. People who don’t only look at it but try to discover it, who read it like a story, who watch it like a movie, who get carried away into his surreal world, a world of dreams.
Therefore it would be ideal to expose it in a waiting room of a medical or legal office, in the lobby of a hotel or in the house of somebody who loves to host guests.
