Madonna bianca - quadro moderno madonna con bambino

MADONNA BIANCA – “The White Madonna”, modern sacral painting, mixed technique on canvas, Siviglia 2017

The painting represents the mother of all mothers, the vergin Mary with baby Jesus in her arms. Both are painted in black and white whereas the background is completely in gold.

Mary, the mother of Christ, Mary the Madonna, Mary who is nursing little Jesus.

Siviglia’s usual usage of strong colors is not present in this painting as the artist just used black and white – inspired by the “Guernica” the amazing painting of the great maestro Pablo Picasso.

This painting is dedicated to Mary, the mother who has suffered so much and has resisted in strength until her son’s death and beyond.
