Landscape of Ponza

Modern Painting on Canvas by Alessandro Siviglia
Original Hand-Painted Work – Contemporary Italian Art

Landscape of Ponza is a bright and modern tribute to the famous Mediterranean island, created by Italian contemporary artist Alessandro Siviglia. With his bold colors and narrative style, Siviglia turns Ponza into a lively, emotional and instantly recognizable scene. The painting captures the island’s charm through vivid tones, poetic details and a fresh, dynamic composition.

At the center stands the tall red lighthouse, the true symbol of Ponza, rising above a cluster of colorful houses arranged like a joyful mosaic of blues, oranges, yellows and pinks. The calm sea is brought to life by the traditional gozzi, the small fishing boats typical of the island. On the cliff below the lighthouse, a couple shares a kiss, adding a romantic, cinematic touch. On the dock, a man cools his foot in the water while a white dog waits for its owner to return from the sea. These small everyday moments give the painting warmth and authenticity, turning the landscape into a dreamy, story-filled world.

Siviglia also offers custom commissioned versions of the artwork. Clients can request different sizes, add specific characters, or include personal details such as family members, pets, boats or symbolic elements. Each commission becomes a unique, tailor-made piece—perfect for collectors and lovers of contemporary Mediterranean art.

This painting is ideal for modern art collectors, fans of colorful landscapes, and anyone with a personal connection to Ponza or the Italian islands. Its bright palette makes it perfect for decorating seaside homes, modern apartments, villas, professional studios and even luxury boats or yacht interiors.

The artwork pairs beautifully with wall colors such as pure white, sand beige, light gray, powder blue, taupe or navy blue for a stronger contrast. It works well with minimalist furniture, light or dark wood, and modern Mediterranean décor. It fits perfectly in living rooms, halls, entryways, bedrooms, offices, open spaces with sea views, and yacht cabins or saloons.
