Modern style landscape “The House by the Sea”

Description

TITLE: “La Casa al Mare”

Large colorful landscape painting, 37.8 x 51.18 inches (96×138 cm) mixed technique acrylic and spray on canvas, Siviglia 2025

The House by the Sea is a vibrant and contemporary painting that captures the spirit of summer through a rich tapestry of colors and intricate details. Created with mixed media—acrylic and spray paint on canvas—it measures 100 x 120 cm and bears the signature of artist Alessandro Siviglia.

The scene unfolds around a charming seaside villa, framed by swaying palm trees, a shimmering pool, clear blue skies, and the golden warmth of the sun. The vivid palette—light blue, red, yellow, pink, and white—instantly evokes the carefree joy of a Mediterranean holiday.

Delicate flowers like daisies and roses dot the composition, infusing it with freshness and vitality. Roosters and birds animate the space, adding rhythm and movement to the tranquil setting.

Out at sea, a fisherman in a red boat casts his line beneath a billowing white sail. In the pool, a cubist-style woman dives gracefully into the water, while nearby, figures relax under a gazebo, sipping Aperol Spritz.

A child plays on the villa’s steps, an elderly man with his dog listens to the soothing sound of the waves, and a white kitten naps in the shade—each element contributing to a tender, serene atmosphere. Two women gaze at the view: one from a window, the other leaning pensively on a terrace railing.

Towering palm trees offer shelter and frame the villa as an idyllic retreat. The landscape recalls the charm of Procida, bathed in Mediterranean light and bursting with color.

Inside the villa, winding paths, staircases, and narrow tunnels invite exploration. Every corner hints at hidden stories, every wall sparks curiosity.

This artwork is a perfect centerpiece for a coastal home or beachside villa—ideal for those who appreciate modern, colorful landscapes filled with whimsical and surreal characters.

Alessandro Siviglia has created other works in a similar style, including Sicilian Landscapes, Amalfi Coast Landscapes and several Urban landscapes of Naples or Salerno, all available to view on his official website.
