Portrait “I Due Fratelli”

Description

TITLE: “I Due Fratelli”

Small painting, contemporary portrait, 14,17 × 9.45 inches (36×24 cm), acrylic and spray on canvas, A. Siviglia 2025

Contemporary Portrait: Two Faces Vertical

A small painting shows two nearly identical faces stacked vertically, suggesting the close bond between brothers. Both wear crowns, appearing as two kings caught between likeness and individuality.

Inspired by the myth of Romulus and Remus—the legendary founders and first kings of Rome—the background features the word “ROME.” Executed in acrylic and spray paint, the backdrop is lively and textured, offering a striking contrast to the detailed portraits.

Though modest in size, the work is rich in symbolism and history. It explores themes of brotherhood, power, and identity, merging contemporary style with ancient myth. Intimate and evocative, it suits anyone seeking an artwork that pairs narrative depth with modern design.
