Description

TITLE: “Sotto O Ponte Re Diavoli”

Modern artwork on canvas, 38,5×80 inches (98x204cm), artist Alessandro Siviglia”

“Sotto O Ponte Re Diavoli” in English “Under the Devils’ Bridge” is a modern painting on a very large canvas with a complex and colorful scene, the fantastic and surreal world of Siviglia, contemporary Italian artist. The title in Neapolitan dialect refers to the “Ponte dei Diavoli”, an old medieval aqueduct, in Salerno. In the painting we see kings, women, angels and demons, different animals such as a horse, a dog and a bird enriched with objects and symbols all intertwined and connected to each other on a red and pink background. A large work of art in a contemporary style, painted with a mixed technique of bright and lively acrylic colours. This large picture is particularly suitable for decorating large walls such as in a double living room or an open space. It is ideal for giving a touch of color and complexity to a minimalist environment to create a nice contrast to the ‘simple’ unicolour and linear furnishings.
