TITLE: “Ulisse che incontra Partenope”
A modern painting dedicated to Greek mythology, inspired by the tales of the great Homer. It depicts a seaside landscape with the siren Parthenope rendered in a Cubist style. The scene shows Parthenope against a backdrop of a bright blue sea and sandy shore. On horseback rides Ulysses, who meets Parthenope after many of his adventures, such as those involving Polyphemus and the sorceress Circe. In this story imagined by Siviglia, Ulysses succeeds in meeting Parthenope and uniting with her, breaking the spell of her enchanting song.
A truly romantic and mythological painting, perfect for lovers of Ulysses and his legendary adventures.
