“Windpark” black and white photograph 27,55×19,68 inches (70x50cm) with frame 27,55×39,37 inches (70x100cm), Annett Siviglia-Mann 2021

TITLE: “Windpark”

Black and white photograph 27,55×19,68 inches (70x50cm), digital on paper, Annett Siviglia-Mann 2021

A wide-angle photograph taken in the countryside of Trapani, Sicily, shows several wind turbines along a road reserved for agricultural vehicles, between wheat fields and a large piece of land. The scene appears almost surreal: man tries to produce clean energy to protect nature, but at the same time compromises the natural landscape with his technology.

The image was created with 50x70cm glossy photographic paper surrounded by a white passe-partout and framed by a handcrafted black frame.
