In the Gospel of Mark, chapter 1, verses 1-6 Jesus says: “A prophet is not despised except in his homeland, among his relatives and in his house”, like so many sentences in the Bible this has become the by word of the author and it is used in many contexts. It is true to say that an artist is rarely despised except in his homeland.
So much so that the young artist Alessandro Siviglia after many years in Rome and abroad, returning to Salerno his hometown, has tried to prove himself. But hope springs eternal, so slowly also the art lovers and collectors of Salerno has begin to appreciate his works, such as a young couple who bought these two beautiful paintings to decorate their living room and to give a touch of positive energy with sparkling colors to their modern environment.
