Looking at the photos you can tell right away that this is a quite bizarre, particular and one-of-a-kind apartment. The entrance is large and welcoming, the colors of the walls are bright alternating with an electric blue and a very bright yellow. Then there is this long corridor and several rooms on either side, so it could easily pass as an apartment or a B&B, why not? Instead it is a LAW FIRM, the office of a famous lawyer well known in Italy and abroad. As Raffaello the great renaissance artist was a guest of the Borghese family so Alessandro Siviglia was a guest at the house of Fimmanò in Rome. The contemporary artist was commissioned to do a very demanding and large work, that is to transform the doors of the apartment into real works of art. In fact, 11 doors were painted on each facade with a woman, as desired by the client. Siviglia, enthusiastic about the assignment, immediately set to work and created several portraits of women inspired by famous paintings by artists of a certain caliber such as Klimt, Picasso, Modigliani or Keith Haring. The ceiling of the apartment is a chessboard, the walls alternating between electric blue and lemon yellow and then all the doors decorated with many different and lively colors. So instead of hanging pictures on the walls, the lawyer’s office is full of artworks without even using one nail. Alternative paintings that could be a great idea for architects or decorators too. The works of Siviglia were highly appreciated by all the lawyer’s colleagues but also by notaries, doctors and other professionals who are friends of the client. Before long, an exhibition by the artist Alessandro Siviglia will take place at the law firm of Professor Fimmanò to allow other people to admire the works of the well known international artist.
